Tip of the Month: Less is More
Want to stand out in the inbox? Try saying less. One mistake I see frequently is too much text, too many topics, and too many images. The reader is overwhelmed and not sure where to focus, so they move on to the next message. Your opportunity is lost.
So, for my first challenge, I'm asking you to pull up your last campaign and take a good hard look at it. Imagine it with half the content. Are there extraneous phrases? Should this have been two separate messages, or maybe even three? What is the one thing you want to get across? Is that message front and center, and above the fold? Asking yourself these questions can greatly improve your email communication.
